Pablo Hopenhayn
Los Angeles-based session player/producer Pablo Hopenhayn has worked with Disney, Pixar, Dancing with the Stars, EastWest Hollywood Strings, television producers and film composers in LA, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has collaborated with multiple Grammy Award winning producer Rafa Arcaute, as well as being hired by Vitamin Records to produce for and be the musical director of the Los Angeles based Vitamin String Quartet. He is the founder of the online string production service Esession Strings that caters to producers worldwide recording strings remotely for film, television, video games, albums, and more.
Born in Buenos Aires, Pablo studied violin and viola at the International Menuhin Academy in Blonnay, Switerzland with Alberto Lysy and with Guillaume Sutre at UCLA. He obtained an Interdisciplinary Music Composition degree from UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music as well as an Audio Engineering Certificate from the school of Film and Television.
In Los Angeles, Pablo is a widely sought after session player for his versatility; not only as a classical player but also as an improvising artist in genres such as rock, pop, jazz, bluegrass, tango and flamenco. Pablo has toured worldwide performing hundreds of international shows including Forever Tango on Dancing with the Stars, as well as with Latin Grammy and US Grammy award winners such as Mark O’Connor, Diego Torres, Julieta Venegas, Marco Antonio Solis and Andres Calamaro.
