Amaan Choir
Amaan Choir is a Jordan based choir that has been initially founded in 2012 at the National Music Conservatory in Amman. It started with 16 singers, but shortly after, it became independent and started excelling and growing to over a hundred singers performing more than 60 multinational musical pieces from all around the world!
In 2020, as the world underwent a drastic change, the Amaan Choir was also subjected to the new ways of learning and connecting virtually. The choir never stopped, but rather updated its singing, learning and practicing over Zoom, thus changing its name to Amaan XXI.
The choir focuses on Arabic music and culture, specifically. The exchange in culture and knowledge has always been on the top of the choir’s priorities. In the past 8 years, Amaan’s performers traveled, met local choirs of different countries, and performed in more than 17 countries such as, Jordan, UAE, Lebanon, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Austria, Slovenia, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
In 2016, Amaan XXI Choir participated in ChoirFest Middle East in Dubai and won the best dynamic choir award.
