Originally from Mexico City, Rodrigo y Gabriela are an acoustic guitar duo formed by Rodrigo Sánchez y Gabriela Quintero, they met while playing in a thrash metal band called “Tierra Acida.”
After traveling to Dublin, Ireland, the duo met Damian Rice and participated in the Oxegen music festival which make them even more renowned on the stages, releasing their first album Foc (2001) and Re-Foc (2003)
The band is also featured in our online event Peace Through Music: A Global Event For The Environment.
