Ondara

Ondara grew up in Nairobi, Kenya's capital, listening to British and American alt-rock. As a teenager, he discovered the music of Bob Dylan, which turned him onto folk music and inspired him to move to Dylan's hometown of Minnesota. Upon arriving in Minneapolis in 2013 as a young adult, Ondara taught himself how to play the guitar and began building a local fan base by performing at open mics and concerts around the Twin Cities. It didn't take long for the beloved local radio station, The Current, to catch wind of his music and add it to their regular rotation. Since then, Ondara has released three critically acclaimed albums, received a Grammy and Americana Award nomination, and toured extensively, playing concerts around the world and supporting acts like Neil Young, Lindsey Buckingham, and The Lumineers.
