Cheche Alara
As a Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Composer, Musical Director, Arranger, Producer, Conductor and Performer, Cheche Alara has worked with some of the biggest names in the world of music.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cheche has lived most of his life in Los Angeles.
He moved to the U.S. after receiving a talent scholarship from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he obtained a B.A. in Arranging/Orchestration. This was followed by a talent scholarship from the University of Southern California, where Cheche obtained his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies.
Cheche serves as the Music Producer/Music Director for the 2020, 2019 and 2017 Grammy Premiere Shows, the 2019 “Earth’s Call Concert”, and Executive Music Producer/Music Director for Jordan Smith's "'Tis The Season" PBS Special, featuring David Foster. He was also Music Producer/Music Director for six Latin Grammy Person of the Year concert galas. In 2019 he was the Music Producer, Music Consultant and Music Director for Norman Lear Live! All in the Family and The Jeffersons /Good Times.
Cheche has worked with Natalia Lafourcade, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, Gloria Estefan, Dionne Warwick, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Pepe Aguilar, Patti LaBelle, David Foster and many more amazing artists.
Cheche is en elected Trustee of the National Board of the Recording Academy, Los Angeles Chapter (Grammys), representing the Los Angeles Chapter. He is also serving his fifth term as an elected Governor of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Recording Academy. He also serves on the Imagen Foundation Board.
