Renato Borghetti is an accordionist with over 30 years of career and one of the prominent figures in Brazilian instrumental music in recent decades. His instrument is a variant of the diatonic accordion, known as the "gaita ponto," which is very popular in Brazil. The rhythms he performs include xote, ranchera, milonga, polka, vanerão, chamamé, tango, forró, samba, and baião. He has also frequently ventured into other genres such as jazz and classical music, collaborating with chamber and symphony orchestras.
