Kwame Yeboah
Kwame is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and recording-engineer whose talent comes once in every generation. Originally from a village in Western Region of Ghana, his love for music led him all around the world working with international artists. And back to his home country where he currently operates his recording studio, Mixstation, and is gaining growing success with his band Ohia b3y3 ya and Kwashibu Area Band.
Having toured and worked with the likes of legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Alexander O’Neal, Patrice, Daniel Bedingfield, Craig David, Rick Rock, Omar, Shaggy, Ms Dynamite, Jamie Scott, Miss-Teeq, Rhian Benson, Another Level, Osibisa, Ken Boothe, Sonti, Mpho Skeef and many more. South Africa’s own anti-apartheid Jazz trumpeter, Hugh Masekela affectionately refers to him as his 'God son'.
He has toured with renowned artists Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) and German Afro-Reggae superstar Patrice, in whose band Kwame is a key member was invited to play a special tribute concert in Berlin for the first black president of the United States of America, Barack Obama for his visit in 2008. He is never known to be in any one country for longer than a month always on a constant hop from stage to plane to studio to stages around the world.
Currently, he spends the majority of his time in his recording studios, Mix Station, which he built in Accra-Ghana, where he seeks to manage and promote Ghanaian and African music beyond the shores of Ghana and Africa.
