Rajhesh Vaidhya was brought up in a rich musical environment. His father Sri K.M. Vaidyanathan was a stalwart both in Mridangam and Ghatam. His tutelage under Smt. Jeyalakshmi started at the age of six and he continued learning the finer nuances of music from Smt Rama Nambinarayanan his advanced training from the world-renowned carnatic veena maestro, Shri Chitti Babu. Rajhesh Vaidhya is not only a renowned musician in India, his fame and popularity spreads in all the musical stages around the world including Europe, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, Canada, USA and many more. He has also performed with the Switzerland based contemporary dance troupe "BEJART BALLET."

Within the Veena and south Indian music tradition, he is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing and technically beguiling artists. Apart from his blistering speed, Rajhesh's performance is distinguished by his use of electric and amplified strings. In 2001, Rajhesh Vaidhya was honored with the title "Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peeta Aasthana Vidwan." However, his lists of talents don't end here. He has, to his credit, his performance as an actor in the famous Tele-serial, "Prem," directed by "Iyakkunar Sigaram" Sri K. Balachander and also devotes his time to the enlightening of young minds in the area of music by tutoring at "VEENALAYAM," Canada.
